Internship Opportunity: Hands On Experience with OpenTrons Flex


Supervisor: Matin Nuhamunada, M.Sc., Ph.D.

In this internship, you will be working to develop a protocol to automate high-throughput detection and sequencing of adenylation domain (AD) and ketosynthases (KS) from bacterial samples, for the bioprospection of PKS and NRPS compounds.

Internship Tasks

As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Programming liquid handler (OpenTrons Flex)
  • Develop a combinatorial PCR approach
  • Library Preparation and Sequencing with the PromethION platform (ONT)
