Internship Opportunity: Genome Sequencing of Rare Actinomycetota
Supervisor: Matin Nuhamunada, M.Sc., Ph.D.
In this internship, you will be working to generate high-quality genome sequence from our collection of rare Actinomycetota, a group of bacteria talented in making bioactive secondary metabolites.
Internship Tasks
As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in:
- Cultivating bacterial strains in liquid media
- DNA extraction
- Library Preparation and Sequencing with the PromethION platform (ONT)
- Genome assembly & annotation

- Project starts as soon as possible (February/March)
- Project duration is for 1-2 months
